• Facebook, The Stalker's Tool

    Facebook!!!

I believe out of 10 person reading this, surely will have 9.5 person own a facebook account, right? That 0.5 person is one who owns an account but forgets the password.

People can play games, send private messages, write something on the wall, photo tagging and a lot.

But last night, I realized that Facebook can be a very powerful tool also. I called it The Stalker’s Tool.

I mean you can search practically everyone you know.

Last night, I was in a slight stalker mode. So I went to one of my colleague’s Facebook profile and clicked on her friend’s list. Then I found more of my colleague’s Facebook account. Then from this colleague I found another, then another, then another, then another. And after half an hour, guess who’s Facebook account I’m looking at? It was my company’s Director Of Operation’s!!!!

It looks like Stalkbook more than Facebook for me.

It was so easy. Just a click, you’re browsing that person’s photos. IF that person puts private profile, then you might not be able to view the pictures but I’m trying to find out is there any way to view the photos if the profile is a private profile.

Then it struck my mind, when you go for interview, never put your Facebook account email in it. Who knows your boss will take a quick check at your photos.

“this one looks wild, party slut, better don’t hire her. Definitely not committed”

Die lor like this, not worth right? especially those Ah Pek conservative thinking boss.

Facebook is fun but it might do you harm too

    Okay, that’s all.

  • I've Gone To The Darkest Days

After so long hearing about FarmVille from my friends and colleagues, finally I start playing FarmVille today.

All the while people been saying bout facebook games and how nice playing it, I didn’t quite believe it. You know I have a phobia of getting addicted to game because I’ve been too deep into gaming until I nearly screwed up my first year in uni.

I remember when I was in my first year, I stayed in my uni hostel and man, when you got to know that the hostel network is linked between 4 building, the excitement was so high as we were able to play network game within ourself.

So the 1st game that I touched was Ragnarok Online. I didn’t play the Malaysia Server but I played the uni’s private server where there were like 40 – 60 active player in there.

I was so addicted to it, I practically spent my life that time for it. I still remember clearly how I spent my life for this game.

    Schedule:

Monday : after class until Tuesday morning 3 – 4am

Tuesday : after class until Wednesday morning 3 – 4am

Wednesday : after class until Thursday morning 3-4am

Thursday : after class until Friday morning 3-4am

And when Friday came, I was happy because I could fully utilized my weekend.

    So,

Friday : after class until Saturday 7am

    Saturday : around 12pm until Sunday 7am

    Sunday : around 12pm until Monday 3-4am

7am..imagine that. I remember I played from my roomate went to sleep and woke up and I was still awake playing…

Beside Ragnarok, I have alot of part times too. But mainly were Counterstrike 1.5, Diablo 2 and Starcraft. But I did play Maple, Run Online and some other games which I already forgot their names.

But of course I was not alone, I have another 2 friends of mine who had the same gaming schedule like me and boy, before we were able to realise it, we found out that our friends were slowly moving away from us. It was because we were so into games, we tend to be anti-social. We read every pc gamer magazine to keep track of the new games coming out that time and try practically every games that time.

So yea, after we nearly screwed up our exams, we sort of like made a pact, a pact to stop playing games and stop encouraging each other to try out new game.

So we moved out from hostel and stay outside. And we did actually quitted our gaming habit and started to adjust our schedule back to normal. I still remember that time DOTA was only just introduced but I never bother to play it.But we did continue playing Football Manager against each other. What to do, we love football and this is the nearest for us to manage a professional football club. But no more crazy gaming days for us anymore. So that 1st year in uni of my 2 friends and mine is consider our darkest days of our life so far.

So today, I started FarmVille. And I hope it will not expand to FishVille, or WorldCafe or Mafia War or some other facebook application

p/s: During my darkest days of my life, I remember I told my brother that I wanted to be a professional gamer. Ah…….a dream…..
