• IP MAN 2 : Review

Just came back from IP MAN 2.

Had hard time to get tickets for GSC and TGV as all tickets were almost sold out or left the front row seat but luckily I managed to get tickets at Mega Cineplex Cinema near my house.

Well, the long waited movie has arrived and from the impressive 1st episode, everyone is keen to watch the squeal of the 1st movie.

Actually I’m impressed on how they maintain the balance of the movie. The correct amount of fighting scene and the talking scene. So you won’t go like “Argh!! I need more fights!!” or “Argh!!! It’s all just fighting, nothing else”

But they include much humor in this series. And it is more touching compare to the 1st series. So you’ll probably laugh more.

And if those expect the amount of Donnie fighting scene will increase, I tell you that it’s a no. During the 1st series, it has 4 fighting scene. 1st is inside his house with a master, 2nd is with a guy who comes and challenges him, 3rd is with 10 Japanese and last is with the Japanese General.

Ip Man 2 has the same amount of Donnie fighting scene as well (total of 4) BUT they include extra fighting scene which involved Sammu Hung and the enermy. So all together will be 5 fighting scenes in this one and half hours movie.

Overall, it’s a very entertaining movie. And don’t worry, if you miss out the 1st series, you’ll still able to get the whole story of Ip Man 2 because it doesn’t really carry the whole story from the 1st one to this one.

    Photobucket
    Ah Hung and Ah Yen

So overall, the story line is pretty much the same like the 1st movie. He fights for the spirit of China martial art and bla bla. Something happened and he inspired to fight. Maybe I’d say it’s the same. It’s just same car with same engine but different outlook. So it is as entertaining as the previous one.

I’m not going to review any more of it because you judge it yourself when you watch the movie.
I’d give it a 4.5/5 rating for it.

In different note, the cinema staffs know that Ip Man 2 will only attracts Chinese audience mostly, so they come out with this brilliant idea of promoting their movie.
    Photobucket

    Master of Bruce Lee yo!!!!

Tomorrow I’ll be watching Iron Man 2 but I doubt I’ll be able to write a review for it because right after the movie I’ll be off to Langkawi for the weekend. But I believe it will be good too as well :)

p/s : Do you know that Asia will be 1st to show all the new movie in cinema? Know why? Because if they show in USA or UK 1st, then they don’t need to do business in Asia already because pirated DVD will come fast into Asian market before the cinema start showing. So yea, thanks to that, we’re able to watch it 1st in cinema!

  • What's Wrong With Malaysian Artist?

Okay, tell me what is wrong with Malaysian Artist (MA)?

I don’t understand at all. Why can’t a Chinese like me listen to MA? Be it Malay or English songs, do you know that Malaysia have a lot of talented artist and because of the perception most of you have, they can’t succeed

I’ve encountered a lot . When I told my colleague that I listen to MA’s songs too.

The first response they gave me was “Har??? You listen to Malay songs? I don’t like”

Hello, have you really listen to our own MA songs or not? Do you know that MA not only sing Malay songs but English songs too. And do you know that Malaysia have a lot of talented artist? If not, then who are you to give such comment?

For your information, I listen to MA since ages ago. I listen to OAG, SingleTrackMind, Tragicomedy, Seven Collar T-Shirt, Nice Stupid Playground, Pesawat, Disagree, Butterfinger, One Buck Shot, Estranged, Meet Uncle Hussein, Hujan, Too Phat, Juliet The Orange, Jason Lo, Zee Avi, Yuna, Estrella, Love Me Butch and lot lot more that I can’t remember.

So what? To hell to your perception that MA suck in singing.  Jay Chou and All-I-Know-Is-They-Are-From-Taiwan’s are good is your perception. That is why Malaysia’s music industry can’t go far. Why must you have the perception that if the singer is Malaysia, he/she is a bad singer or sings bad songs.

    Come on.

Others from other country are supporting their home grown artist and feel proud when they make it out from their country.

    Why can’t you?

Pffft!!! I don’t care anymore. Listen whatever you like but just don’t cast the “Holy-Shit-Malay-Songs-Can-Listen-One-Meh?” look on me.

Don’t judge my music taste as I’m sure mine is much better than you.

I don’t give death sentence to any artist without listening to their songs.

    You do.

By this, I’m already one step ahead of you in the sense of music.

Fuck off, go play far far with your Jay Chou songs and leave my beloved MA alone.

Anytime, anywhere, MA is still the best. You’ll have my full support.

Here is some MA youtube for those who willing to open up their mind and accept something new.

There are a lot more. So search yourself.

Good night everyone. Enjoy the music:)

  • Oh My GOD!!Here Comes The FBI

Two weeks ago, I was having dinner with 3 of my colleagues in Old Town. As we were chatting about works, suddenly we saw an Indian man holding a Chinese woman’s hand and walked into Old Town

    Photobucket

    And

    Photobucket

    Then suddenly,

    Colleague 1 :” Look!Here comes the FBI!”

Colleague 2 *Laughed* :” Ha Ha, yea. FBI”

    Me :”Huh? What FBI?She?”

Colleague 1:” Yea, FBI, you know?”

    Me :”Yea I know, then?”

    Colleague 2 :” She’s FBI. Haha”

Then both my colleagues continued with the conversation they left off earlier.

    I was left puzzled.

My mind ran through a lot of things.

FBI? Federal Bureau of Investigation ? She? How did they know she’s FBI?

I kept on looking at her and thinking. Was she a spy? Was she an undercover? Was that Indian guy some sort of international criminal until FBI sent an undercover to bust him? Cannot be right?? *don’t laugh, I really thought like this that time*

After few minutes, I gave up.

Me :”Eh, why you guys call her FBI?How you guys know she’s FBI”

Colleague 1 :”Haha, think yourself. Look at them and think!”

Me :”Cibai, I don’t know. Why called her FBI??How you know she is FBI?”

And you know what my colleague told me??

Colleague 2 :”Haha, of course we know. She’s FBI, Fucked By Indian”

    *Sweat*

    Now I know FBI.

    Damn!

    And

Now I know my colleagues are a bunch of creative bastard that expert in giving names to people. I wonder what name they give me?

    J

p/s:  Sorry if my post has offended anyone. It was merely a joke from my colleague. It was not any racism intention behind it :)

p/s/s: Yes. Above conversation is true. It actually happened two weeks ago

  • Guide 101 : RayBan Aviator 3025

Last weekend I finally bought myself a part of Rayban Aviator. I did some research and I’m going to write a Guide 101 for my readers to have some basic information on Rayban Aviator that is useful before purchasing one for yourself.

Malaysia is quite famous with its fake Rayban around the market and some of you might ask how to check whether the pair of Rayban is real or fake.

There are few traits that you might want to check when you’re in the shop

    1st: Logo on the lens.
    Photobucket
As everyone knows, Rayban always have their logo printed on the lens. So the lens is on top of the right lens where it should not be blocking the view of the wearer. The logo is printed with some high quality material and it should not be easily come off.

    2nd: The bridge between lens.
    Photobucket
On the bridge between the lens (the one that I circled), you should see the word “Rayban 5814″. 5814 is the size of that Rayban. It can be varies depending of the Rayban size. Make sure that those words are stamped instead of printed or painted.

    3rd: Nose pad
    Photobucket
Rayban has interlocking nose pad. It is not some screwed type of nose pad. And at the nose pad, you’ll see the word “R.B”

4th: R.B logo on the Lens
    Photobucket
The word “RB” is laser on the left lens of the Rayban.

    5th: Earpiece
    Photobucket
When you look at the earpiece, you’ll see some words on it. On the left circle in the picture, it has ” Rayban Made In Italy CE” while on the right circle, it has “RB 3025 AVIATOR LARGE METAL W3377 5814 3N” which is the information of that pair of Rayban.

    6th: The bag
    Photobucket
This is the bag with “Luxottica” given to you if you purchase your Rayban. Make sure it come with a book and Rayban cloth.

    7th: The Quality
When you hold a pair of Rayban, you’ll know that it has the quality. It is quite heavy and the frame is solid. The lens is made from glass instead of plastic.

    8th: “RB” and “BL”
Previously, Rayban is owned by Bausch and Lomb which carried the label of “BL” until 1999, Bausch and Lomb sold the brand to Luxottica which carries the label of “RB” until today. So I’m very sure that all the Rayban sold in the shop today carries the logo of “RB”. If you see the “BL” label, please be careful as Rayban with “BL” label is consider a very rare in the market and won’t be sold as new in the shop.

There you go. I hope those 8 tips are useful for you when you’re choosing you’re Rayban.

Oh, one more thing. The pricing. BE MAKE SURE YOU HUNT AROUND FIRST as the price of Rayban is not really controlled. Before I bought my Rayban, I went to a lot of shops and asked the price and to my surprise, with the same model, the price difference can go to around rm200 between shops. So ask around 1st before you make your purchase.

I believe a counterfeit Rayban won’t have all the traits that I mention in this post. The most is the white color logo on the lens of Rayban.

    Photobucket
    It’s such a beauty, isn’t it?

P/S: This guide is for Rayban Aviator 3025. There are a lot of Rayban model such as Wayfarer, Shooter, Cockpit and etc. I’ve seen Rayban Shooter and Rayban Cockpit and this guide can be applied to these two model.

P/S/S: More Guide 101 to come in future.

  • Crossroad, Is All I Need.

I looked at her, and she looked back at me

We didn’t smile to each other

In my heart, all I wish is a crossroad between her and me

    Photobucket

I know some of you will tell me crossroad doesn’t come itself, I have to create it.

I did my observation. The 1st will be ring on her fingers.

    Marriage ring or anything.

Okay, no rings on her fingers.

    2nd observation. Her company.

Okay, she was with her girl friends. No male detected around her

So I suppose it was a single girls’ outing on Saturday night.

    3rd, guts.

Nope, I don’t have. Not say that I don’t have. It’s just that I don’t how to do a opening with a female stranger in Popular Book Store.

    Excuses? Maybe.

    But seriously,

    HOW?

    Dear my readers,

    Any advice on this?

  • I'm Ashamed, Why Don't You??

For past few days, I was busy at work and had to work overtime. There’s a French guy came to our facilities to repair our equipment and when I was having a smoking break with him. We talked about Malaysian’s cigarettes compared to France’s

Me:” So have you tried Sempoerna?”

    Him:”Nope. What cigarette is that?”

Me:”Ouh, it’s Indonesian cigarette. Clove flavour”

Him:”Ahh, nah. Never tried it but clove flavour? I don’t think I’ll like it”

Me:”Yea, for us Chinese, we don’t like Sempoerna too because of the clove flavour”

Him:” Woo..wait wait, you’re Chinese? or MALAYSIAN?”

    Me:”Oh, sorry, I’m Malaysian”

For that moment, I felt ashamed. I’m pure Malaysian. Chinese is for those from China.

    Seriously, I’m ashamed.

    Why not you?

    I believe who I’m referring to,right?

    Sigh

  • How To Predict A Woman's Age?

Quite often with make up and those cosmetic or those facial product will make a woman look young. Much younger than their actual age.

I’ve been fooled by many woman. By looking at their face and physical figure, damn, I was so sure that they are young but when I found out their age, damn!again but was the age, which is not what I expected.

I tried to find a way to at least predict a woman’s age group. I mean at least know that the woman is around my age or already reaching their 30s or in their mid 30s.

    So finally I found.

I found out that by look at a part of a woman, you will be able to predict whether she’s old or young.

Nope, it’s not breast or whatsoever.

    It’s a woman’s hand.

Yea, as I keep on noticing, I realized that many woman take good care of their face and physical figure but they often neglect their hand.

When one woman start to age, their skin around their hand will start to have wrinkles and when you take a look at their hand, you’ll know it.

There is one female colleague of me. She is in her 30s and not married but physically and her face looks much younger than 30s. Probably around 25 or 26 maybe but when I look at her hand

    It looks like this
    Photobucket
    Sorry Shutterstock, steal your picture

Okay, maybe not that bad but it’s more or less like that.

So I further my research and from the observation, it is true that the age and the hand’s skin is going same direction together.

Of course I never take any picture of it but I did enough observation that when I look at a woman’s hand, I’ll be more or less know their age group from early 20s, late 20s and 30s

It’s not 100% accurate but it’s accurate enough for me.

But my observation just a very general guideline and you have to use your skill to get to know the actual age of a woman.

    But it’s kinda fun.

Maybe tomorrow when you go office, go notice at your female colleagues’ hands. Not one but few then you’ll get what I’m trying to say.

  • Decision, How and Where Do You?

    Photobucket
Yesterday, my complicated girl friend told me that she has made the decision and wants to cut off all those drama with a guy.

I asked her, ” The decision you made is from your mind or from your heart?”

She told me ,”From the mind”

I told her, “If is like this, don’t bother making the decision then”

She was kinda shocked when I told her that but for me, if a decision is make from our mind but not heart, that decision won’t last long.

That is why a lot of people fail to hold on to their decision. They make those from the mind.

Our heart is a very strong thing. When we make the decision from the heart, the mind will follow and determination is high.

I strongly believe that if making decision only from mind, it’s like living in denial. Because at the end of the day, you’ll follow your heart anyhow.

Finally, I told her that make the decision only when she is able to make from the heart.

    She asked me how?

    I don’t know.

    It’s all by yourself.

    True?

    I think hell yeah.

    What you think?

  • Is It The Forbidden Love?

    Photobucket

    I’m 25, she’s 31

My mum once told me that if I were to marry woman older than me as wife, I’ll regret in future when I see people with much younger wives.
She told me that women tend to look older faster than men, so it will be unbalance physically when two get older.

    I’m wondering

Is it an unrecognized love by the society? Is it a love where everyone will talk bad and gossip about? Is it a love that still unacceptable by the society?

    IS IT A FORBIDDEN LOVE?

    Help me please
